PRODUCTION ASSISTANT BOOTCAMP OVERVIEW:

• Participants will receive training to become Production Assistants, including an industry overview, regulations, health and safety, communications on set and more.
• All Spring Media will provide pastoral support, mentoring and career advice during and beyond the Skills Bootcamps.
• Following completion, participants will get the opportunity to interview with Sky Studios Elstree for a chance to be added to their talent pool.

All Spring Media is delivering a Skills Bootcamp for Production Assistants supported by Sky Studios Elstree.

The Skills Bootcamp is an industry training programme to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required for a career in Film and TV. Trainees will also benefit from our continuing support and mentorship.

Participants will benefit from a training session at Sky Studios Elstree. Upon completion of the programme, they will be granted an interview for a chance to be added to the Sky talent pool.

It is an opportunity for those at the start of their Film and TV careers who wish to build their experience.

DELIVERY DETAILS:

Training will be delivered to six cohorts, with 16 participants in each. The delivery for each cohort will be in-person at All Spring Media’s training facilities. There will be a day’s training session at Sky Studios Elstree. The training is aligned with the Production Assistant (Screen and Audio) apprenticeship standard.

We offer two delivery models to allow for wider participation. The first model is five training days per week for three weeks, which will apply to four cohorts. The remaining two cohorts will undergo three training days per week for five weeks, making it possible to fit alongside a part-time job.

The training dates are as follows:

Cohort 1: 25^th September 23– 13^th October 23

Cohort 2: 23^rd October 23– 22^nd November 23

Cohort 3: 5^th – 23^rd February 24

Cohort 4:1^st – 19^th April 24

Cohort 5: 2^nd September – 2^nd October 24

Cohort 6: 6^th – 24^th January 25

WHAT CAREER ROUTES OR JOB ROLES WILL COMPLETION OF THIS SKILLS BOOTCAMP LEAD TO?

Following completion of the Skills Bootcamp, individuals will be able to apply for Production Assistant roles and other entry roles in production.

Participants will get the opportunity to interview with Sky Studios Elstree for a chance to be added to their newly formed talent pool. This list of individuals will get sent out to productions looking for crew.

ABOUT ALL SPRINGS MEDIA:

All Spring Media is an independent training provider supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce into the Creative Industries through a range of entry-level and CPD programmes.

All Spring Media designs and delivers training programmes to fit the current needs of the Creative Industries, specifically Film and TV. All training is carried out by industry practitioners to a high standard.

Previously, All Spring Media delivered training for various creative apprenticeship schemes, such as the Level 3 Broadcast Production Assistant, Level 4 Production Coordinator and Level 7 Production Manager. Having worked directly with employers, such as BBC, Channel 4, and Global Radio, the All Spring Media team is proficient in meeting employers’ needs while ensuring the programme is learner-focused. All Spring Media had a qualification achievement rate of 93.7% when delivering apprenticeships.

Current training initiatives include a six-month Runners internship on High-End TV (HETV) productions funded by the ScreenSkills HETV Fund, and a shorter training programme called Creativity Squared for industry entrants, funded by the Mayor of London (GLA).

The Runners internship has proven successful with eight individuals being employed on a production as a paid placement. Several of the programme’s alum interns have since progressed to further paid positions.

Creativity Squared has involved the training of, so far, 40 individuals looking to start their careers in media. The training includes an industry overview, regulations, health and safety, copyright, communication on set and more, in addition to personal development training. After completing the training and assignments, we provide learners with mentoring and regular check-ins sessions to support them with their industry job search.
